I'm a solopreneur, leadership development guru, certified coach, and mom to two active boys and a new addition, a Golden Retriever puppy named Phoebe. I enjoy life from middle-America, wine on the porch with friends, reading, and have been learning a lot about DIY home renovations.
After 15+ years in HR and Talent Development, I saw a consistent pattern: the people who get promoted into leadership roles are exceptional at doing the work — but rarely given the support to lead people well.
I've worked alongside high-potential professionals stepping into leadership for the first time — and mid-level leaders navigating expanding responsibilities inside growing organizations. They were capable, driven, and smart. But leading people requires an entirely different skill set than being the top performer.
And too often, they were expected to just “figure it out.”
One defining moment stands out: watching a newly promoted leader — someone brilliant and respected — slowly lose confidence because they weren’t given clear expectations, development, or support. It wasn’t a talent issue. It was a leadership transition issue. And I realized how many organizations unintentionally set their leaders up to struggle.
That experience shaped my philosophy.
I believe leadership is a learnable skill — not a personality trait you either have or don’t. And I believe organizations get it wrong when they assume strong individual contributors will automatically become strong people leaders without intentional development.
Today, I help new and mid-level leaders in growing organizations (75–200 employees) move from “doing the work” to leading with confidence, influence, and real impact.
Because leadership isn’t just about hitting goals. It’s about:
Communicating with clarity when expectations are shifting.
Influencing change — even without formal authority.
Developing high-performing teams instead of carrying the workload alone.
Making thoughtful decisions with confidence, especially when the stakes are high.
When leaders are supported at this stage, it changes everything — their performance, their teams, and the trajectory of the organization.
And that’s the work I’m here to do. One leader at a time.
